Things to Do

Northern Pines Resort is located in Price County, Wisconsin, just three miles north of Park Falls. The town of Park Falls is surrounded by over 900,000 acres of federal, state, and county forest. Park Falls has been named the Ruffed Grouse Capital of the World, and many other types of wildlife are also abundant. If you venture into forested areas you may have the opportunity to see black bear, whitetail deer, timber wolves, coyotes, porcupine, and badger, as well as many species of bird, including loons, bald eagles, owls, and great blue herons.

Opportunities for fishing and boating abound in the area with non-crowded waterways, such as the North and South Forks of the Flambeau River, Turtle Flambeau Flowage, the Boundary Water Experience, and, of course, Butternut Lake right outside the door of your cabin at Northern Pines. We are a great camp fishing in Northern Wisconsin. We offer pontoon and Sea-Doo rentals.
Hunting in the area is excellent, with minimal competition from other hunters in the large area of public lands that are available. Park Falls boasts ideal habitats for ruffed grouse and black bear. There are many acres of public lands open for those that hunt with dogs.
Guide service is available upon request, we partner with Pine Curve Camp.

Fall and winter are prime time for ATV and snowmobile enthusiasts, with numerous trails converging on the property.

The City of Park Falls is an AWSC designated Snowmobile Friendly Community - only 17 communities have been awarded this designation.  With over 500 miles of groomed trails and lots of snow, the area trails offer some of the best in the state of Wisconsin.    The Park Falls Chamber of Commerce offers a 24/7 trail condition report beginning December 1st each year and continuing throughout the snowmobiling season. Trail Number 91 provides direct access to our property.

The trail system in our area is ideal for the ATV enthusiast.  Park Falls is the trail head for the Tuscobia Trail with thousands of miles of interconnecting trails. The trails vary in length and provide access to many lakes and streams in the area. Our resort is located directly on an ATV route. The Labor Day ATV Rally includes a poker run, mud run, trail challenge, music, hog roast, games, and raffles.
